Kim Sherman, PhD

About Kim:

Kim Sherman (she/they) is a historian, writer, and creative based in coastal North Carolina. Kim's research has largely centered around social and environmental history in the British Atlantic World and in the Lower Cape Fear. Kim received a PhD in Modern History from the University of St Andrews in 2018. Having worked in higher education for more than fifteen years, she is currently a Lecturer in Atlantic History at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Outside of academia, Kim is a textile artist and quilter who enjoys spending time in nature with their Australian Shepherd.
